Job Description Certification Details - BLS - ACLS - PALS Job Details - New and specialized CVICU. In need of experienced CVICU nurses to help care for cardiac patients both pre and post op. - Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate surgical cases. - Available for 36 hours a week, every other weekend, holidays and willingness to be on call. - Also subject to float to PICU, Peds and NICU. Job Requirements - Must have current nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start. - Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start and updated every 3 years. - Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years. - Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years. - Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start and updated every 3 years. - Completion of Ascension Safe Sleep training. - Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty. - Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding. - Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Health Statement, and Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen. - Completion of background checks including Criminal Background Check, EPLS, and Employment Verification. - Must be willing to float to PICU, Peds, and NICU as needed. Schedule Information - 36 hours per week. - Every other weekend. - Holidays. - Willingness to be on call. - Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate surgical cases. Unit Specific Information - Unit is a specialized CVICU with cardiac patient focus. - Float to PICU, Peds, and NICU units as needed. Additional Details - Ascension Resume required for submission. - Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start. - License and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start. - Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years. - Ascension Profile and 2 Professional References required for submission. - Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid. - Ascension Confirmation of Assignment and Education Verification required prior to start. - Hiring Manager Evaluation and Name Change Document optional.
