Accounting Associate within Employee Benefits (EB) is responsible
for analyzing, balancing, and reconciling daily general ledger
processing for the business operations. This includes ensuring all
discrepancies are corrected and documented to support our internal
controls and completeness and accuracy. This role performs
administrative financial balancing to ensure accounting is included
and any discrepancies are resolved. This role works closely with
the Revenue Management team providing support and guidance around
trends and/or problem resolution. What you will do: Balance and
reconcile daily general ledger processing for Employee Benefits
Work closely with the billing team to manage and recover any
revenue gap based on anticipated revenue and actual booked revenue.
Work with others and research to resolve accounting discrepancies.
Effectively and accurately communicate to key stakeholders.
Complete quality Assurance Across Teams Process Documentation
Analyze premium gap between anticipated and booked revenue. Develop
and maintain EB premium integrity metrics. Assist in performing
monthly premium audits and manage the monthly variances. Research
and resolve premium integrity processes as needed. Identify trends,
risks, and opportunities that emerge from different billing
methods. Assess risk due to received premium increases and/or
decreases. Communicate any audit findings to EB leadership team as
well as provide ideas for process improvements. What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is
preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and
practices Relevant experience in accounting or finance Ability to
work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal and written
communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational
skills Proficient Excel skills, including building & managing
PivotTables & VLOOKUP High School Diploma, or any combination of
education and experience which would provide an equivalent
background Salary Band: 04A This selected candidate will be
expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will
also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME
as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
