Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 5-8 STEM Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design thinking, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and be able to effectively teach these subjects to students in grades 5-8. The STEM Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, conducting hands-on experiments, and fostering a love of STEM and design thinking in our students.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement STEM curriculum for grades 5-8
Plan and conduct engaging and interactive STEM lessons
Provide hands-on learning opportunities for students
Assess student progress and provide feedback
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate STEM concepts into other subjects
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on STEM education best practices
Be creative with prototyping and creating through recycled materials

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field
Teaching certification
Experience teaching STEM subjects to students in grades 5-8
Strong knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for STEM education and inspiring students
