Job Description Job Description Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Principal and/or the Dean of Discipline,
the PSOE Recovery Coordinator will assist in behavioral management
and school culture for students, staff, and parents. They will
develop and maintain behavior support plans which utilize
strategies and are based on Functional Behavior Assessments. They
will work alongside other school personnel, striving for superior
performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for
student growth and development, both educationally and personally.
Responsibilities Act as a professional advisor to the Assistant
Principal on all aspects of the organization's behavioral, and
school culture activities. Assist the Assistant Principal as the
behavioral program liaison to the school’s Principal and CAO.
Assist as directed in the management of front-line parent
communication for behavior and attendance. Assist as directed in
the facilitation of communication between personnel, students
and/or parents for the purpose of following school discipline,
dress code, recovery, attendance, and behavioral frameworks,
solving problems and/or resolving conflicts. Abide by all PSOE
frameworks as approved by the CEO and as noted in the staff
handbook, including a strong, transparent staff image free from
gossip, or unnecessarily judgmental behavior. Assume all roles as
delegated for a variety of staff functions for the purpose of
managing the day-to-day workload more efficiently. Maintain
ongoing, consistent communication and documentation with PSOE
leadership ensuring that direct and detailed communication using
chain of command is a consistent, daily practice. Provide
assistance with the PSOE daily duty and coverage schedules,
including, but not limited to driveline, hall duty, daycare,
recovery, YMCA coverage, and after school student supervision.
Follow all best practices in terms of legal, authorizer, and
legislative guidelines, acting in the best legal interests of the
organization. Maintain a professional physical and digital presence
through community meetings, representative appearances, appropriate
use of social media, and appropriate dress at school-sponsored
events. Qualifications and Education Requirements The Recovery
Coordinator will be thoroughly committed to the PSOE mission. All
candidates should have proven experience in a similar field.
Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
Associates degree or equivalent, with supervisory experience
preferred. Unwavering commitment to quality programs. A strong
commitment to student education. Strong written and verbal
communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with
excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of
people. Passion, idealism, integrity, grit, positive attitude,
mission-driven, and self-directed. Annual training and/or
professional development is required for all PSOE employees.
Job-specific training is identified and scheduled by the School
Principal or direct supervisor in partnership with Paramount
C-suite. Preferred Skills Proficiency in modern technology
applications. Knowledge of discipline principles as they relate to
educational organizations. Knowledge of federal and provincial
legislation applicable to charter organizations including: special
education, FERPA, occupational health and safety, student health
and safety, etc. Knowledge of current community challenges and
opportunities relating to the mission of the organization.

Duties are normally performed in a school/classroom environment.
Duties may be occasionally performed on field trips away from
school. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate. The Recovery Coordinator will usually work in a school
environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take
them to non-standard workplaces. The Recovery Coordinator works a
standard workweek, but additionally will work evenings, weekends,
and any additional hours necessary to accommodate activities such
as educational/athletic meetings, trainings, sporting events, and
appearances at public events. This job description in no way states
