Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language
(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This opportunity is for a skilled American Sign
Language Interpreter to provide essential support within a high
school setting. The role involves facilitating communication and
delivering interpretation services to a student who is Deaf or hard
of hearing, ensuring full access to instructional content and
classroom interactions. Responsibilities include: Providing
American Sign Language interpretation for core content and general
coursework Facilitating ongoing communication between the student,
teachers, and peers Supporting the students engagement and
participation during classes Collaborating with educators to
accommodate the educational needs of the student Qualifications and
experience: Registration under the SLI and Transliteration
Registration Act is required Fluency in American Sign Language with
a strong understanding of ASL nuances Knowledge of the educational
needs of students who are Deaf or hard of hearing Ability to follow
oral and written directions accurately Excellent oral and written
communication skills Job Details: Location: Indianapolis, IN
(onsite only) Setting: High school Schedule: MondayThursday, 7:00
AM 2:15 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM 12:45 PM Duration: Contract through
