Job Description Job Description Assembly Engineer – 1st Shift | Direct Hire Anderson, IN | On-site | Full-Time Pay Range: $80,000 – $95,000/year Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future (U.S. citizens or permanent residents only). About the Role First Call Direct Hire is recruiting a hands-on Assembly Engineer for a growing advanced manufacturing team. You will develop, implement, and improve assembly processes, troubleshoot equipment, and work closely with cross-functional teams to increase productivity, quality, and safety in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and improve assembly methods for complex manufacturing operations Troubleshoot assembly process issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime Design and improve tooling for assembly through reverse engineering and new designs Test and evaluate equipment and components to improve reliability and productivity Lead cost reduction initiatives and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams Serve as a technical leader for technicians and support engineers Required Qualifications (More Specific to Attract Experienced Candidates) Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience) 5 years of engineering experience in assembly manufacturing (directly relevant experience required) Proven ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and machine blueprints Strong experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) Experience troubleshooting and programming robots, PLCs, servo controllers, and VFDs preferred Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Benefits Full medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Collaborative, safety-focused work environment How to Apply If you meet the required experience and legal work authorization requirements and are ready to make an impact in advanced manufacturing, apply today!
