people around us. Job Summary The Journeyman Pipefitter is
responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining
piping systems and pipe supports used to transport air, water,
steam, petroleum, and other liquids and gases. This role also
includes the layout and installation of equipment, along with
performing additional duties as needed to support project
requirements. Tasks and Responsibilities Work safely and
effectively in a team environment. Plan pipe system layout,
installation, or repair, according to specifications Inspect,
examine, or test installed systems or pipelines, using pressure
gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods Select
pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports, hangers,
or hydraulic cylinders according to specification Attach pipes to
walls, structures, or fixtures such as radiators or tanks, using
brackets, clamps tool, or welding equipment Assemble or secure
pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment according to
specifications Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems,
supports, and related equipment following blueprints Other duties
as assigned Competencies Working mechanical knowledge and ability
to read P&IDs Heavy physical effort required for frequent
lifting or moving of heavy materials Ability to lift up to fifty
(50) pounds and walk a project site Regularly required to sit or
stand, bend and reach Work is regularly performed in outside
weather conditions on jobsites Must be able to travel Education and
Experience High School diploma and 8 or more years of previous
pipefitter experience Strong experience in mechanical construction
Ability to read blueprints and drawings OSHA 10 (within 5 years)
