Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Our company is looking for a
Used Car Technician to join our team. Responsibilities: Execute
repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications; Test-drive
vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools
and special service equipment; Keep shop area neat and clean;
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts; Inspect
vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary; Operate
all tools and equipment in a safe manner; Check tire pressure and
add air if needed; Perform Multi-Point inspections on pre-owned
vehicles; Recondition as per used car managers authorization;
Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals;
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil;
replace oil and air filters; Communicate directly with the Service
Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional
services needed; Provide an estimate of time needed for additional
repairs; Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency
and in accordance with dealership. Requirements: Willing to submit
to a pre-employment background check & drug screen; Enjoy working
in a dynamic environment; Able to operate electronic diagnostic
equipment; Enjoy working in a fast paced environment; Teammate with
ability to collaborate with others effectively; Positive, friendly
attitude, along with a customer service mentality; Must hold a high
school diploma or equivalent; Excellent customer service skills;
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye
coordination; Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to
operate electronic diagnostic equipment; Punctual and reliable;
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve;
Basic Computer skills; Entry-level qualifications, including
Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred; Strong physical
dexterity for working with tools
