We are proud to offer a contract temporary opportunity to work as a--Laboratory Technician Soil (Multiple Openings )--at a prestigious Fortune 500-- company in-- Indianapolis INDuration: March/April until end of May (future rotations possible)Pay Rate: $15/hr + (depending on education & experience)Shift:----7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & 12 pm -8:30 pmLocation:--SureTech Laboratories,--7501 Miles Drive,--Indianapolis IN 46231Purpose:The goal of the laboratory technician is to analyze samples in the production laboratory. This person works with the production team to analyze a large number of samples in a high throughput environment. They should be able to work and troubleshoot on the laboratory instruments and provide preliminary quality data analysis on the collected information. The technician will primarily analyze soil samples for pH, mineral content, and organic matter content, but may be asked to perform other tests.Responsibilities:

• Prepare samples for and perform mineral analysis assay via ICP
• Prepare samples for and perform NIR-spectroscopy on homogenous plant tissue
• Prepare samples for and perform protein analysis via combustion of samples for Nitrogen detection
• Evaluate and analyze results and data for quality based on established protocols
• Perform basic instrument preparation and troubleshooting
• Prepare batches to be analyzed after delivery from prep teamMinimum Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science preferred
  • Some production experience is preferred
  • Experience in fast paced/multi-tasking environment (retail, fast food, production, etc.)
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screeningAdditional Education/Experience:
    • Prior experience in a high paced, high throughput environment
    • Prior experience with ICP, IR and wet chemical analysis in a regulated laboratory environment
    • Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)Physical Demands:
      • Ability to lift 30lbs
      • Standing for extended periods of time
      • Flexibility with work hours (i.e. coming in early, staying late)
