TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Muncie, Indiana, 47303! Pay Information $2,798 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Must have an active Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; preferred NIH and TNCC Must-Have: Level 2 trauma experience Description: This position is in a trauma center with 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using additional space if needed. The facility never staffs more than a 1:4 ratio for regular emergency department patients. Hold assignments may include a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. The emergency department averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day. Candidates must be comfortable with floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates as required. Travelers are expected to work charge roles, and must be willing to float. General emergency room duties required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Skills in phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, and administration of IV vasopressors are necessary. Experience with procedural sedation administration, CPAP/BiPAP, and care of ventilated patients is required. Candidates should also be familiar with isolation precautions. All travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Two supervisor references are needed prior to onboarding. Local residents are not accepted for this position.
