Minimum of 18 months in a relevant specialty License: Must have
in-state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone,
Lasix, Insulin, Post Heart Catheterization, and Post Pace-maker
procedures. Experience in a mixed acuity unit with solid Neuro
experience is essential. Travelers are required to float within the
facility or to nearby affiliates. Description: This position is for
a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry.
The unit provides care for both medical patients and progressive
care unit level patients. Nursing ratios are 1:5-6 for
Medical-Surgical patients and 1:3-4 for Progressive Care patients.
Nurses will manage drips for Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. The
unit also cares for patients experiencing unstable strokes and
utilizes BiPap as needed. This position requires the ability to
manage and care for patients with a mix of oncology, stroke,
cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary conditions. Ideal
candidates should have experience in telemetry and the ability to
interpret dysrhythmias. Travelers will be expected to work two out
of three major holidays. Candidates must not have previous
permanent or PRN employment within this system for at least 12
