Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute hospital
setting License: Must have a valid state license Certifications:
BLS, NBCOT, Manual Therapy, and Lymphedema certifications preferred
Must-Have: Experience in evaluating and developing a plan of care,
strong skills in ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and
documentation. Description: This role involves working Monday to
Friday, with one weekend day required per month. The Occupational
Therapist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team consisting
of 19 professionals. The therapist will see patients across all
levels of acuity from ICU to progressive care. Common patient
diagnoses include CABG, stroke, TBI, joint replacement, fracture
repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, and Parkinson’s
disease. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients,
developing and following plans of care, and assessing discharge
disposition recommendations on a daily basis. Daily
responsibilities include conducting ADL training and implementing
therapeutic activities to improve patient function. The therapist
will also supervise and guide Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistants in their plans of care. Additionally, the therapist will
manage daily caseloads, attend multidisciplinary rounds, and
complete daily documentation. Experience managing high acuity cases
in ICU/PCU settings is preferred. Key skills include effective
communication, patient/family education, and safety and injury
prevention. The role requires familiarity with charting systems in
a fast-paced acute care environment. The candidate should
demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care and
collaboration within the rehabilitation team. Requirements Required
