seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position caring for
general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric patients,
requiring an IN or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities • Position is on a 31-bed Med/Surg unit focusing
on general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery •
Day shift, 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00 to 19:30 • Patient ratio is 1:6 •
Common cases include bariatric surgery, thyroidectomy, bowel
obstruction, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) • Floating
required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals • Uses
Cerner EMR and Cerner charting experience is required • Provide
care to surgical and medical patients with a focus on specialty
cases • First time travelers are welcome • Must be willing to float
to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed • Candidates must
work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Return travelers must have a break
of at least 12 months after permanent or PRN employment • RTO
policy allows automatic approval for 5 days or less • Not accepting
local candidates for this position Requirements • Active IN or
Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration • Minimum of 2
years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required • BLS
certification required; AHA or RQI accepted and must be current •
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program • Must have
experience with voiding trials and/or urogyn surgeries • Must have
experience in bariatric surgery, thyroidectomy, bowel obstruction,
