Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role on a Bone Marrow Transplant unit specializing in Oncology/Hematology care. Serving patients with complex hematologic conditions, this position requires a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in critical care and oncology nursing. The unit provides a focused care environment with 17 beds, maintaining patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:3, supported by advanced medical equipment and EMR systems. Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized nursing care to hematology and bone marrow transplant patients, including blood and electrolyte replacement therapy, neuro assessments, and long-term IV therapy - Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hazardous drugs following established protocols - Perform central line dressing changes and manage critical care interventions such as ventilator support and infusion drips - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans - Maintain precise clinical documentation using EMR systems (EPIC, Beacon) - Float to related units including stepdown, critical care, and acute care specialties as needed Qualifications: - Valid RN license with BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certificates preferred - Experience in stepdown, critical care, and blood administration essential - Oncology/Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant experience highly desirable - Proficient in neuro assessment, electrolyte management, and complex medication administration - Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills Schedule: - Day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Every third weekend and holidays as needed - 36 guaranteed weekly hours Location Overview:Greenwood, Indiana, offers a welcoming community with a blend of suburban charm and convenient access to metropolitan amenities.
