Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,835 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/21/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47905! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience required License: Must have an in-state license and required certifications in hand prior to submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry skills, IV Start, Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen management required. Charge Nurse experience preferred. Description: The unit specializes in cardiac and medical care and serves as a true step-down from intensive care. It handles patients undergoing heart catheterizations and those requiring BiPAP, cardiac, and vasoactive drips. Nurses in this unit will manage various medications including Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. This role requires strong skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response and code teams. Experience with post-cardiac angiogram and pre/post cardiac catheterization is essential. Nurses must be proficient in IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and central and peripheral line care and management. The expected patient ratio is typically four patients per nurse during all shifts. Travelers will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated hospitals as needed. Candidates are required to work two out of three major holidays.
