Position Overview:
The Compensation Manager will be a collaborative thought partner
interacting with the HR and Finance teams, and cross-functional
stakeholders to design and implement effective and scalable
compensation programs. This employee will advise on complex
compensation matters with data-driven research and develop
solutions that are strategically aligned to business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all
other duties assigned:
- Manages the assessment, development, implementation,
measurement, and administration of companywidecompensation programs
for 2000+ employeesacross the U.S.
- Act as a compensation business partner, strategic solution
provider and expert advisor to business and people leaders by
combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles,
understanding of the business and market landscape, and detailed
analysis/models
- Perform proactive data analytics to support various
compensation assessments initiatives and provide recommendations to
HR and business leadership
- Manage compensation programs such as merit planning, variable
pay administration
- Experience providing job mapping and job leveling guidance to
HR and business leaders.
- Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices
and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with
compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Provides advice to corporate staffand leadership
includingFinance on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job
evaluations.
- Builds trusted advisorrelationships with leaders acrossmultiple
businessunits. in the U.S.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to design creative solutions to
specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans that are
market relevant and incentivize desired outcomes.
- Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting
data.
- Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors
salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are
achieved.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation
laws and regulations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or
related field and 6 years of progressively responsible experience
in employee compensation
- Demonstrated partnership with HR, business leaders, and
cross-functional stakeholders in designing and implementing
effective and scalable compensation programs
- At least one year of experience managing subordinates.
- Proactive data analytics and data-driven research to support or
advise various compensation assessments initiatives and provide
recommendations to HR and business leadership.
- Management of compensation programs such as merit planning,
variable pay administration, equity nomination and/or distribution
processes.
- Experience providing job mapping and job leveling guidance to
HR and business leaders.
- Certified Compensation professional credentials preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and
compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and
communicate data.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to
use Microsoft products, with strong Excel skills (focusing on
V-Lookup, pivot tables and macros).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set
priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior
management
