Job Description: Responsibilities: 1. Supervise a medium to large
group of UAW employees. 2. Coordinate material and production mix
requirements to meet production schedules. 3. Expedite the movement
of raw material, in-process and/or finished goods. 4. Maintain
safety and good housekeeping standards. 5. Coordinate and cooperate
with other departments to meet production schedules. 6. Maintain
accurate inventory records. 7. Train, develop, and evaluate
employees. 8. Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
9. Comply with terms of local and national agreements. 10. Meet
budgeted cost targets. 11. Execute quality requirements.
Experience: Educational qualifications required: Bachelor Degree or
equivalent experience. Knowledge of pull systems / Kanban
preferred. Knowledge / experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
preferred. Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems
and processes preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ Supervisory experience
required. Knowledge of basic math required. Oral and written
communication skills required. Analytical ability for solving
complex problems required. Interpersonal skills to work effectively
with others, motivate employees and elicit work output required.
Ability to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business
needs required. Willing to work any shift assigned. APICS CPIM
