Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a fast-growing local distribution facility located in Greenwood to hire a Purchasing Assistant!Job Summary/Company Information:* This position will require you to work in a very fast-paced--Purchasing department along with 4 others handling multiple administrative tasks* Assisting the Director of Purchasing with merchandise management in regard to procurement, pricing and quality, and responding to customer concerns.* Coordinating with suppliers and Corporate Purchasing to assure timely and cost-effective delivery of product* Assisting with buying through negotiation, quality control, and regular communication with suppliers* Placing and receiving store orders via email, and entering them into the system* Communicating information to and from District Managers and stores regarding quality issues and reports concernsPay/Benefits: * $18.50/hr* This is a long-term temporary position, with potential of hire onSchedule: 1st shift,--Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Requirements: * The ideal candidate must have recent office experience* Strong analytical skills* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time well* Willingness to work in other departments/divisions as needed* Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook* Able to learn quickly, take direction,--and be very reliable.* Work well in a fast pace/professional environmentHow to apply: Email me your resume at Janice.Koester@expresspros.com or call me at 317-300-9519 Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm.
