Job Description Job Description Easterseals Crossroads provides
services for individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver and we are looking
for highly motivated, positive, fun, and compassionate Recreation
Therapists to join our team. We provide therapeutic interventions
focused on physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual
functioning. Services are available to children, teens, and adults.
Treatment plans are individualized to meet the needs of each
client. Interventions include a variety of modalities including
art, exercise, sports, games, music, swimming, animals,
volunteering, dancing, gardening, etc. Part-time and full-time
positions are available in Indianapolis and the surrounding
counties. Services are typically delivered in the client’s home or
in the community. What you'll do In this role, you will conduct
assessments, write treatment plans, plan therapeutic interventions,
facilitate individual or group interventions, document services
daily, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, and document
individual progress quarterly. You will manage your caseload and
schedule with support from department manager. You will collaborate
with team members to share community information, resources, and
intervention techniques and strategies. Required education and
certifications Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation,
recreational therapy, or related field Must be board certified CTRS
through NCTRC or in the process of becoming certified Valid
